Hey everyone, I’ve had my calico cat for almost 6 years, and she’s about 7 years old now. For the past few years, she’s been vomiting randomly—sometimes she won’t vomit for a week, then it’s every other day. We’ve taken her to the vet before, but they didn’t really give us any answers. It’s mostly just food chunks with barely any hair, so I’m wondering if it could be the food? We feed her Blue Buffalo dry food, but I’ve heard mixed things about it. My mom keeps saying no to taking her to the vet, and it’s getting frustrating. I just want to help my kitty! Any thoughts on what could be going on? Thanks!
That sounds rough! Have you thought about switching her food? Some cats can get sensitive to certain brands.

Yeah, I was wondering if the Blue Buffalo might not be the best fit. What do you recommend?

Maybe try a limited ingredient diet? It could help if she has a food sensitivity.
It’s definitely worth considering a vet visit. Even if they can’t find the exact cause, they might help with a solution.

I know, but my mom is super against it. I just don’t get it…
Sounds like it could be something with her eating habits. Maybe try smaller meals more frequently?

We do have an automatic feeder, but I’ll see if I can adjust it for smaller portions more often.
Definitely don’t give up on the wet food! It can actually be really good for hydration, just make sure it’s a good brand.

I might have to reintroduce it then! Thanks for the tip!
I’ve heard some cats vomit due to stress. Any changes in her environment lately?

Not really, but it’s been a bit hectic with family stuff. I’ll keep that in mind!
