Why are dogs suddenly acting aggressive towards me?

Normally animals are neutral or friendly to me, but for the past three months, dogs I encounter have been growling, barking, and even trying to bite me. Just recently, a dog managed to grab my pant leg but didn’t hurt me. Even stranger, my brother’s dog has started growling at me too. I haven’t changed anything in my routine or appearance that I’m aware of. I’m really confused—any ideas why this might be happening?

That’s odd! One of my dogs got aggressive when I was pregnant with my twins. Any chance you’re expecting?

Haha, definitely not… I’m a guy!

Lol, I was going to ask if you were on your period :joy:

Could it be a medical issue? Dogs can sometimes sense illnesses or changes in people.

That’s a good point. I haven’t noticed anything, but maybe it’s worth getting checked out.

The part about the sausage dog made me laugh :joy: They can be real divas, so it wouldn’t surprise me if one barked at you.

I know, right? I was like, ‘Really? Even you?’

Have you been around any new animals lately? Dogs can sometimes smell other pets and act territorial.

Not really. I’ve had the same two cats for a while, and they’ve never caused this kind of reaction before.

Have you thought about getting a health check? Dogs can sometimes sense changes in body chemistry, like with diabetes or even cancer. Might be worth looking into.

That’s a little scary but also makes sense. I do drink a lot, so maybe it’s connected. I’ll schedule a check-up.

Good idea. Better safe than sorry. Dogs are really in tune with things like that.
