What Insurance Is Best for a New Puppy, and Is It Worth It for Puppies?

As the title states, I have a 12-week-old puppy and have been looking into pet insurance for her. I’ve looked into Trupanion the most, but after searching on this subreddit, I’ve heard some negative things. I’ve also been considering Fursure since I love that they provide their own debit card that funds get loaded onto. The Trupanion plan I’m looking at is $60 a month.

When did you get insurance for your dog? Is it worth it for a young puppy? My pup is very chill, calm, a good listener, and overall a great dog, so I don’t see her getting into any trouble—but you never know.

Any advice would be appreciated!

Getting insurance for a young puppy is a good idea for peace of mind. Compare plans and reviews before deciding.

When choosing insurance for your new puppy, consider coverage types (accident-only, accident and illness, or wellness plans), costs, limits, and pre-existing conditions. Early enrollment offers better coverage and lower costs.
