My cat is 14 years old, female, and was recently diagnosed with Chronic Kidney Disease. She also just got over a UTI. The vet gave her fluids because she was dehydrated, and I’m now giving her broth and switching to wet food to keep her hydrated. Despite this, she seems to be constipated. I called the vet this morning, but they couldn’t see her today. They suggested I try 1/4 teaspoon of MiraLax and bring her in on Monday if it doesn’t work. I thought MiraLax was a liquid like Pepto, but it’s actually a powder. So should I use 1/4 teaspoon of the powder directly, or mix it according to the directions and use 1/4 teaspoon of the liquid?
Use 1/4 teaspoon of the powder. Usually, mixing it with wet food is best, but you can also mix it with water and then add it to her food if that’s easier.

Got it, that clears things up. Really appreciate it!
Yes, it’s just 1/4 teaspoon of the powder directly.
