Hey everyone, I’m really struggling with a decision regarding my pet. I thought about euthanizing her, but it feels impossible to do. After some vet visits and tests, I found out she has an anal sac tumor. She can barely stand and is always hunched over, which breaks my heart. Lately, she’s been in a lot of distress, not eating or enjoying anything anymore. I think the mass has gotten worse, and she’s acting so strange today. I love her so much and just want what’s best for her.
You can’t let random people online decide for you. It’s really about what you and your vet think. Don’t let her suffer just because of what others say.
I went through something similar with my pup recently. He was in so much pain with a mass that grew quickly. He had trouble pooping and was hunched, and I had to put him down last week. It still hurts a lot.
I’m so sorry to hear about your dog. Cancer is such a terrible thing. If her quality of life is so low, it might be time to consider humane euthanasia. They don’t understand what’s wrong; they just feel pain.
Definitely check with your vet. If she’s in pain and surgery isn’t an option, maybe it’s best to let her go peacefully. Have you looked into any online resources for support?
It sounds like you both are really suffering. Making these arrangements is really tough. I had my girl for 18 years, and when it was time, it was all about spending those last moments together. Not an easy choice at all.
