PLEASE HELP, Aggressive cat

Thank you to anyone who tries to help me with this. I’m so lost. I have three cats: Dolly (the tiny dark tortie, female, 4 years old), Bianca (the heavier lighter tortie, female, 3 years old), and Napoleon (orange, male, 4 years old). Dolly and Napoleon are siblings, and they’ve all been fine since I adopted Bianca about 2 years ago.

But around 3 days ago, Dolly started attacking Bianca aggressively, like 3-4 times a day. My mom noticed because my brother and I were away. I just got home today, and within 20 minutes, Dolly snuck up and attacked Bianca while she was lying on my bed. It’s super violent, and Bianca can only run away since she’s declawed and can’t fight back. Now, Napoleon and Bianca are terrified and won’t eat, and Napoleon has been hiding. Bianca even growls at him now. I’m worried Dolly might start attacking us too. I separated them and locked Dolly in the bathroom with food and water. What do I do?

I also want to add: there have been no changes in furniture, babies, or the environment. They are spayed and neutered. This behavior is super sudden, and the fights are serious with hissing and growling. Dolly latches onto Bianca, and her fur is raised.

You should definitely check with a vet to rule out any health issues. When my brother’s cats fight, it’s often due to sickness or stress, like outdoor scents. You might need to start the introduction process all over again.

@Dakota
That makes sense. I hadn’t thought about health issues. I’ll schedule a vet visit ASAP!

Separating them was a good first step. You might also want to try using calming pheromones or sprays to help ease the tension.

I’ll look into that. I just want them to feel safe again!

Have you tried reintroducing them slowly? It can help to give them time apart and then bring them back together in a neutral space.

I haven’t yet, but I think I should try that once things calm down a bit!

Make sure to give Bianca a safe space where she can hide and feel secure. That might help her feel less stressed.

Good idea! I’ll set up a cozy spot for her.

Keep an eye on Dolly too. Sometimes aggression can come from fear or anxiety. Understanding the root cause is key.

I’ll try to observe her more closely. Thanks for the advice!
