Our youngest cat got back from the emergency vet and now wants baths

So, our 7-year-old male cat has a history of urinary blockages. Last night, he was super lethargic and not eating or going to the bathroom, which freaked us out. We took him to the emergency vet, and thankfully they handled the blockage. Now he’s doing better, but because they used a catheter, he’s a bit leaky. I rinsed him last night, and my husband did again after work. Ever since, he’s been obsessed with getting in the tub! I was just trying to relax with a bath for my sore legs, but he keeps jumping in with me. I’m so happy he’s feeling better, but it’s hilarious that he thinks he needs washing now, especially since he usually hates water.

Glad to hear he’s doing better! My boy had a couple of blockages too and ended up needing surgery. It was a tough time.

The warm water might feel soothing for him! It can definitely be annoying, but I’d probably let him join for a bit.

He probably likes the clean feeling when you help him out! Cats can be so funny about water.

There’s a famous kitty online named Cappy who has a leaky bladder. His videos are so sweet! It shows they can still have a good life.

Good luck with the baths! I know how chaotic it can get with pets around. They always want to be part of the action!
