I have a female cat who is 2.5 years old. She was spayed last July. About a month ago, she started urinating multiple times a day. The vet diagnosed her with a UTI and prescribed Ciprofloxacin. The urine tests showed crystals, so they recommended RENALOF syrup, but that worsened her condition. Now she’s urinating blood and still has frequent urination. We’ve tried different medications, but the issue persists, and I’m really worried. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
My cat had crystals too, and it was a nightmare. I found that giving her wet food mixed with warm water and chicken broth helped a lot. I also used Cosequin and Mannose-d to flush the bacteria out. She’s been good for years now!
Absolutely! That advice really works!
Her diet is only boiled chicken, though we add broth. She doesn’t like much of it, so we syringe water into her. The frequent urination is still a big problem. Did you face the same?

She’s missing necessary nutrients! Cats need a balanced diet. Look into a cat nutrition supplement. In the wild, they eat the whole animal, which provides more nutrients.
Diet is a major contributor to urinary issues. If she’s only eating dry food, that could be why she keeps having problems. Switch to a high moisture diet to help.
Consult your vet about her diet. A prescription diet might be necessary to keep those crystals at bay.
You need to start feeding her prescription wet food designed to prevent crystals. Also, send a urine sample for culture and sensitivity to get the right antibiotic.
What dietary management are you doing?

She’s been fed only boiled chicken for two years now.

Ask your vet about dietary management and follow their advice.
