I am at a loss about what to do. We took our cat to another vet clinic where they put her on an IV, told us to wash her, and gave her Polysorb. The foaming at the mouth seems to have stopped, but now she’s screaming, scratching her ears intensely, and running around as if she can’t find a comfortable spot.
It all started when my mom took the cat to the vet for ear mite treatment. We’ve been going for three weeks now, and everything was fine until today. The vet we saw this time, instead of diluting the medicine and rinsing her ear like the previous vet did, injected the full dose directly into her ear with a syringe. My mom mentioned that the other vet had diluted the medicine, but he insisted on doing it his way.
When they got home, there was a strong smell of medicine. Within about 5 minutes, the cat started vomiting and foaming heavily at the mouth. I called the vet clinic, but they told me the specialist had already left and directed me to another clinic. We rushed there, and they put her on an IV, dripped something into her ear, and told us to wash her face. They also prescribed Polysorb.
We did everything they said, and while the foaming has stopped, she’s still not getting better. She’s screaming, won’t let anyone near her, and keeps scratching her ears. She can’t seem to settle down—now she’s climbed on top of the closet, trying to lie down but just pacing back and forth, still screaming.
I called the vet again, and they advised to give her more medicine. We tried, but she won’t let us; she’s too strong, and we can’t hold her still. She keeps breaking free and scratching us.

They were not even confident enough to upload it themselves. They DM’d me, and I said I would post it for them. They’re afraid and are being judged by strangers on the internet. We’d all be happier if we were kind to each other.

I understand, but how can someone provide good advise without knowing the child’s country of origin?

Take her back to the vet.

I called, and they said they wouldn’t be able to do anything. I also mentioned that she is becoming increasingly violent, and they responded that “she will bite us all here”…
There is nowhere I can go here; everything is closed around me.

You may just have to wait it out then. I’m so sorry OP but that vet is guilty of malpractice and you should not have to pay for treatment to fix what they caused.

A little update: I was able to take her to the vet; she is now feeling better and sleeping.
If you’re interested, I can tell you more about what happened at the vet.

I apologize. I read this post and am enraged beyond measure. I sincerely hope that the POS vet tech faces far worse (things I can’t publish on Reddit) than your unfortunate animal. Just reading about what she’s going through makes my heart sink. I’ve lost a kitten to a negligent vet, and the agony is indescribable. I’m praying for your cat’s recovery.
