My dog is 17 and a half years old, and I want to know can I how long can I hope for him to live. Does anybody know how old a Pekingese can get? I got mine when I was literally 7 years old, and now I’m 24 and we’re still together. Google tells me their average life span is 15, but I’m pretty sure someone knows of other long-lived dogs.

Pekingese typically live around 15 years, but some can live longer with good care. Your dog is already exceeding this average, which is quite special…
