How weird is it that we own animals... anyone else think about this?

I know this isn’t a new idea, but as I sit here with my cat sleeping on my leg, I can’t help but ponder how strange it is that we own animals just for fun. I mean, using them for work or food seems logical, but just having them around as pets feels odd the more I think about it. Anyone else feel this way?

I totally get that… it really makes you think about the whole pet ownership thing. Like, why do we even do it? But then I think about how much I love my dog and it feels worth it, you know?

I’ve thought about this a lot too. It’s kind of a weird relationship, but I guess it’s different from owning a piece of furniture or something. Like, they have personalities and feelings.

It’s super interesting to think about. I wonder how it all started, like, why did humans decide to keep pets in the first place? Was it just companionship?

For sure, it’s a strange concept. But honestly, I can’t imagine life without my pets. They bring so much joy. Just makes you wonder about the ethics of it all sometimes.

I feel you on this… sometimes it feels a bit weird, but then I just watch my cat play and I realize how much joy they bring. It’s a strange but wonderful bond.
