Help Please: My cat keeps begging for my food even though I free feed him

I don’t understand why my cat keeps begging for my food when I free feed him. Is there something I’m missing?

Free feeding is not a good option for the majority of cats.

Cats are natural hunters and may still beg for food out of instinct. Try scheduled feeding instead.

Exactly. Cats thrive on routine. It might also help with his begging behavior!

Have you considered the possibility that he’s bored? Sometimes they beg for interaction more than food.

That’s a good point. He does seem to get bored easily. Any suggestions for keeping him entertained?

Interactive toys or puzzle feeders can help keep him busy and mentally stimulated!
