I’m really struggling right now, I’m 19 and staying with a friend after getting kicked out. We don’t have electricity or any food, and my dog really needs some food. I don’t get paid until Monday. Does anyone know of any places that can help with free dog food? Any advice is really appreciated!
Try asking on local groups, or go to a food bank! They sometimes have pet food too. Dogs can eat plain human food like rice or chicken if you can get your hands on some.

I don’t have any food at the moment, and the food bank said I need to get vouchers from Citizens Advice. I’ll try asking in local Facebook groups though, thank you!

Can your friend go to the food bank for you?
Some food banks let you get vouchers right there, or they have pet food available. Try contacting local pet charities like the PDSA; they might be able to help.

Thank you! A kind person is sending some food via Amazon and it should arrive tomorrow. I’ll also try Citizens Advice in the morning.
I heard that animal shelters sometimes have pet food pantries for people in need. It’s worth checking out!
Download the Olio app! People give away food they don’t need, and sometimes pet food too. Also, check local churches or temples; they often help with food for people and pets.

I’ll give it a try, thank you so much!
Try posting on your local area’s Facebook page. People are usually willing to help when pets are involved. I’ve given extra food to people in similar situations before!

Good idea, I’ll ask my friend to post for me on her account. Thanks!
Call around to local rescues and food banks. They often have extra pet food donations. Hope things get better for you soon!
