Anyone else think keeping a rabbit in a dorm is weird?

Hi guys… I don’t wanna be that person, but there’s someone on my campus who recently got a rabbit and is raising it in their college dorm. Our dorms aren’t very big, and they’ve got the cage under their bed. I’m not a rabbit owner myself, but there’s no way this is good for the happiness and health of that rabbit. Maybe I’m just misinformed?

That sounds kind of rough for the rabbit. I mean, they need space to hop around and stuff, right?

Totally! Rabbits are super active. Keeping them cooped up like that isn’t cool.

@Drew
IDK, maybe they think it’s okay? I just can’t imagine that rabbit being happy in a small cage.

I don’t own one either, but I’ve heard they can get stressed in small spaces. Might wanna check campus rules.

Yeah, I wonder if it’s even allowed. Dorms usually have pet policies, right?

I used to have a rabbit and they need room to run around. Keeping it under the bed doesn’t sound right at all.

Right? It’s like keeping a dog in a tiny crate all day. Just not fair to the animal.

What do you think would happen if someone told them? Would they even care?

IDK, but maybe it’s worth a chat. If they don’t know how to care for it, they might be open to suggestions.
