I left my healthy Flemish Giant rabbit with a Rover sitter while I was out of the country for about a month. When I got back, he was paralyzed, malnourished, and covered in sores. I rushed him to the vet, but sadly, his condition was irrecoverable. The sitter claims ignorance, but I have security footage showing neglect. Rover support just called it ‘unfortunate.’ Anyone else dealt with something like this?
You need a lawyer. This is way beyond what this forum can help with. So sorry for your loss.
I’m really sorry to hear that. I’ve heard Rover doesn’t cover rabbits, which is why they won’t take responsibility.
This is heartbreaking. How could anyone let an animal suffer like that? If you have footage, definitely consider legal action. That’s animal cruelty!

Right? It’s so messed up. You should report them!
You should definitely look into getting a lawyer. This is unacceptable, and the sitter could do this to others too.

Yeah, I agree. You have evidence on your side.
I’m so sorry you went through this. I’ve heard way too many horror stories about Rover. You might want to share your story everywhere—social media, wherever you can.

Agreed! People need to know what happened. This is so important.
