Seeking Advice on a Hard Lump on My Cat's Side?

HiGuys,

I recently found a hard lump, about the size of a grape, on the right side of my cat’s abdomen. It’s firm but doesn’t seem to cause her pain. Her behavior is normal—she’s eating, playing, and using the litter box as usual.

Has anyone dealt with something like this? What did your vet say? Any advice would be appreciated before I take her to the vet. Thanks…

I had a similar issue with my cat a month ago; she had a lump on the left side of her body under her rib cage. The vet thought it was likely non-cancerous because it was soft and movable, but recommended a biopsy if it didn’t go away in a week or two. Luckily, it disappeared within a week! You should definitely take your pet back to the vet and get their opinion.

It could be anything from a small pimple to a large tumor; it’s impossible to determine without more context or information.

Looks the same on my cat

Hi DolpGabbana,

It’s great to hear that your cat’s lump resolved on its own! I agree, it’s important to have a vet examine the lump to determine the best course of action. If the lump persists or changes, a biopsy might be necessary to ensure it’s not a serious issue. Keep an eye on any changes and follow up with your vet for the best care for your pet.
