I have a stray cat who bites me when I try to touch her. I got scratched in two places while sleeping. I should visit the vet, but it’s pricey. What shall I do?

Keep it clean by washing it several times a day. Get some sterile saline wash spray. If you are not going to take the cat to the vet, find it a new home.

If the scratch area starts to swell, hurt, and turn color, you need to go to urgent care. There is a specific antibiotic for “cat scratch fever.” You must treat it.

Vets care for animals. You should think about doctors instead. Not really, because you’ll just wash it with soap and water and go back to sleep as if nothing happened.

Yes, you should go to the vet if you get a cat. Second, if the scratch bled even slightly, I would recommend that you see a doctor because the saliva on the cat’s nails can enter your bloodstream.
