Just wanted to share a tribute to our sweet little baby, Bofa. We had to say goodbye yesterday because of a terminal illness, and it’s been one of the hardest things we’ve ever gone through. She was such a loving little soul, always so happy to see us. We love you so much, Booba! Knowing she’s in a better place and no longer in pain brings some peace. Even in her last moments, she showed us she was happy and comfortable, clicking and making her cute faces. For anyone who hasn’t had a rat, it’s like they know how much they’re loved, and their loyalty is incredible. I only wish I could give all these little ones the life she had. Rest easy, sweet girl.
I’m so sorry to hear this. Bofa was clearly very loved. Rest in peace, little one.

They’re amazing, right? They’ll form a bond with you like no other pet. Once they get used to you, the love is incredible.

Funny story… my rat was actually meant to be my boyfriend’s snake’s dinner, but after the snake ‘escaped,’ we just couldn’t leave her in the tank, so she ended up staying with us. No regrets!

Rest in peace, Bofa. It’s clear she meant so much to you. Maybe consider getting another one to help ease the pain? Sometimes it helps with the grief.
