Recommendations for Airline Approved Pet Carrier

I m stationed overseas with the military and will be returning to the U.S. next year. I have a 110lb black lab mix (who just turned 1) and a 20lb English Pointer mix. I am planning our return and need to find a good pet carrier for the big dog. I don’t want to wait until the last minute, so any advice on a reliable pet carrier would be helpful.

A suitable pet carrier is required when transporting your large dog back to the United States from overseas. To determine the appropriate size carrier, check the airline’s pet travel restrictions. Cargo travel is best done with hard-sided carriers constructed of robust plastic. Good ventilation and comfortable elements, such as a bed, are also important. Choose a carrier with wheels for easy movement. Before you fly, introduce your dog to the carrier by leaving it open with treats inside. By planning ahead of time, you may choose a safe and comfortable carrier for your pet’s long voyage home!
