Pet proof sectional... what do you recommend?

I know this topic has been discussed quite a bit, but I haven’t seen exactly what I’m looking for. We’ve had 3 different couches in the last 6 years that have all been completely destroyed by our pets (50lb dog, 60lb dog, and 2 cats) just from everyday wear and tear. Our dogs shed like crazy, and it seems no matter what fabric we get, it’s always covered in fur even with regular washing of covers. This leaves our house smelling musty and makes it impossible to relax without getting covered in fur. Not to mention all the sand that gets dragged in from the backyard and the daily pond swimming with wet paws running in.

WHAT COUCH CAN WITHSTAND THESE CIRCUMSTANCES?! We’d like a reclining sectional and are aware we’ll probably have to dish out a big chunk of change, but we also don’t have 10k to drop on another couch. I’m thinking real leather but worried about claw marks. Anyone have a specific recommendation?

Have you looked into microfiber? It’s pretty durable and resists stains better than a lot of fabrics. Plus, it doesn’t hold fur as much!

Real leather can be great, but yeah, those claw marks will show. If you’re set on leather, maybe look at treated leather that can withstand scratches?

I got a sectional from a brand called ‘Pet-Friendly Furniture’ and it’s been a game changer. Super easy to clean, and it hides fur really well!

You might also want to consider a sectional with removable, washable covers. It makes a huge difference when cleaning up fur and messes!
