Hi, I’m just looking for other people’s perspectives on this. My 11-year-old Shih Tzu was paralyzed after being attacked by my other dog (a Golden Retriever), and my family is already considering euthanasia. Since the attack, she’s been completely dependent on me because she can’t move any of her legs, and she seems really sad all the time. She cries, and the whole household is tired of the situation. It makes me feel terrible that no one else seems to care except for me. 
The vet mentioned we could try laser treatment gradually or go for surgery right away, but the costs are beyond what we can afford. Plus, since she’s a senior dog, I’m not sure if she’d be able to handle it. I just wanted to know what others think and what they would do if they were in my position.
