My parents didn’t brush my cat and now she’s covered in mats

Thanks! Grooming around here costs $100-120, which I don’t mind paying, but they’re booked weeks out. I’m going to call the vet about sedation since she’s definitely uncomfortable.

Cut the mats in sections, but not near the skin. It’ll make them easier to brush out without hurting her.

I’m too worried about accidentally cutting her skin since it’s so tight in places. I’ll just wait for the vet or groomer.

That makes sense. It’s important to be confident when doing it, so if you’re not comfortable, the vet is your best bet.
