I’ve searched every corner of my house and can’t find my cat. She’s an indoor cat, and I don’t think she went outside because she’s terrified of going out. I even checked the neighborhood. I’m starting to lose hope… I don’t know if I’ll ever see her again.
She just showed up out of nowhere! I have no idea where she was hiding!

Cats have a talent for hiding in the weirdest places! She could have been inside the couch or behind furniture. So glad she’s safe!

Phew! That’s a relief. Cats can be real ninjas when it comes to hiding. It can be scary, but glad she’s back!
Next time try playing meowing sounds from YouTube or Spotify. My cat always comes out when I do that. It works like magic!

Thank you! That’s such a great idea! I once lost my kitten who fell asleep inside a cabinet he opened by himself. I was so scared and didn’t know what to do. Next time I’ll definitely try the meowing trick!
@Zander
Glad you found your kitten! It can be terrifying, but meowing sounds really work wonders. I use it every time.
Cats are expert hiders. Check under beds, inside couches, recliners, or behind the washer and dryer. One time, my cat hid for five hours, and I couldn’t find him anywhere until I checked behind the sofa.
@Wylie
I think she’s scared of the renovation workers. My kitchen is getting redone, and she probably found a spot to hide.

If you’re doing renovations, there’s a chance she might have squeezed into the walls or some tight spot.
@Zander
They’re lowering the ceiling, so I don’t think she could’ve gotten into the walls. I checked everywhere I could think of!

Did you check inside the cabinets? Sometimes there are little holes leading to hidden spots they can crawl into.
@Zander
I looked everywhere I could. There’s no sign of her anywhere.
Something similar happened to me after my house was burglarized. I thought the thief might have taken my cat along with other things, but it turns out she had hidden under the loveseat, behind some books I’d placed there. It took hours for her to reappear, but she was fine. Cats are smarter than we think when it comes to hiding.
