Okay, so I’ve got a 12-year-old Siamese and a 4-year-old jerk of a cat. This is all about the younger one. I moved into a new house with my adoptive parents about 7 months ago, and ever since, this little troublemaker keeps peeing on my adoptive dad’s leather massage chair. She’s never done this before, so IDK what’s going on. I’ve tried everything—two litter boxes, cleaned daily, and even gave her towels with my parents’ scents to help her adjust. But nope, she still sneaks downstairs to that chair. Any ideas on how to stop this? She’s a good kitty otherwise… just needs to stop marking her territory on him.
Have you tried using a different type of litter? Sometimes they can be picky about that.

Yeah, I’ve heard some cats like certain textures better. Might be worth a shot!

I haven’t switched it up lately… maybe I should give that a try! Thanks for the tip!
Sounds like she might be feeling stressed. Have you considered pheromone diffusers? They can help calm them down.

Oh, I’ve seen those! Do they really work though?

From what I’ve read, they can help some cats chill out. Worth a try for sure!
Maybe try keeping her on a strict schedule? Like feeding and playtime at the same time every day? Cats love routine.

That makes sense! I’ll start being more consistent with her schedule. Thanks!
It could also be that she’s trying to mark her territory. Maybe get something that smells like her to put on the chair?

Good idea! Like a blanket or something? Could help her feel more at home.

Exactly! Cats are weird like that. They love their scents!
You might want to check if she’s just bored. A new toy or more playtime could distract her.

Lol, I thought I had enough toys! But hey, maybe I can rotate them to keep things fresh.
