How to get rid of cat pee on non-washable bag

My cat peed on my uni bag, and I need help getting rid of the smell ASAP. I sprayed Odoban and Febreze on it, but it only made the smell worse. I don’t have vinegar or baking soda, so I’m at a loss. Any advice would be appreciated.

Honestly, just get a new bag. It’ll be very difficult to get the smell out, which may attract the cat to do it again.

I can’t just get a new bag. It was $200 and only three days old. I don’t understand why this is getting downvoted.

What material is the bag made of? That could help in figuring out how to clean it.

It’s crinkle nylon. It’s a Kipling, and they don’t recommend washing it or submerging it in water, so I’m hesitant.

You could try soaking it, but hot water is key. If you just use warm water, it might not work as well.

You should definitely look for specific pet urine removers that break down the enzymes causing the odor. Also, vinegar is great for cleaning.

I’ll check to see if they have cat urine remover in nearby shops. Otherwise, I’ll get vinegar.

I bought a cat urine remover, and it worked wonders! I didn’t even know those existed.

That’s great to hear! I’m glad I could help.

If it’s safe to wash, consider soaking it in a mixture with OxiClean and hot water. That can help eliminate the smell.
