Do people still think it's ok to smack their dog for 'training' purposes?

Exactly! Smacks during play are fun for some dogs. But smacking them for misbehaving? That’s just confusing and wrong.

I feel you. My dog flinches sometimes, too, even though I’ve never hit him. It’s heartbreaking. But when they come from rough pasts, it just takes time for them to trust.

Just like people still hit their kids. It’s gonna take time for this mindset to go away.

Smacking a dog is animal abuse, and in many places, it’s a crime. It haunts them for life. You’re a good person for rescuing your dog.

If someone hits their dog, they shouldn’t have one. Simple as that.
