Am I Wrong for Wanting to Rehome New Kitten?

I have three cats: an older one (3 years), one I adopted earlier this year (about 1 year), and a new kitten my husband brought home. The kitten is stressing me out because he constantly bothers my other two cats, especially my timid girl, Chlo. She can barely use the litter box without him attacking her. I love my two girls, but the kitten is becoming a chore. I think he’d do better in a home with a playmate his age, but we don’t have the space for another kitten.

Is he neutered?

Yes.

Sounds like a bored kitten. Do you play with him? How old is he?

He’s super young, maybe 9 weeks now. I do play with him, but not super frequently.

Kittens need a lot more playtime than adult cats. Make sure to tire him out with active play.

How often do you actively play with the kitten? If you exhaust him, he’ll leave your other cats alone for a while.

Maybe for a few minutes here and there; I’ll start playing more to see if that helps.

The kitten needs up to 2 hours of playtime a day in 15-minute chunks. Consider using Feliway diffusers and playing ‘Music for Cats’ to help him relax.
